How We Heal
Current Therapies Offered
Science. Dedication. Expertise. Passion.
Our therapies are matched with detailed and meticulous care and attention. All our team members are highly trained on each specific therapy. These therapies were selected for use at EquiMend to enhance your horse's recovery from surgeries, injury, rehabilitation and also prehab to elevate your horse's performance for an event, race or show!
We are here to enact your horse's Veterinary Directed Program.

PEMF Therapy
PEMF is widely used to reduce inflammation and relieve pain from conditions like arthritis, laminitis, and joint conditions. It also speeds up recovery from injuries, helping your horse get back to feeling great faster. PEMF isn’t just for short-term recovery; it promotes long-term cellular regeneration and relaxation, allowing the body to speed up it’s natural healing abilities, leading to improved Physical and Mental well-being.

Microcurrent Therapy
Our microcurrent device is for pain management and tissue repair. It’s small, drug-free, and non-invasive, generating complex microcurrents. With over 4.6 million permutations per treatment, it helps restore the horse’s natural electrical frequencies disrupted by injury, boosting ATP production essential for cellular processes, pain management, and tissue repair. It reduces inflammation, pain and speeds up recovery, making repairs stronger and less likely to recur.

Red Light Therapy
Red light therapy utilizes specific wavelengths of light to penetrate tissue and stimulate cellular repair. Research has shown that near-infrared and red wavelengths can enhance mitochondrial function, improve microcirculation, and promote collagen synthesis. In horses, this therapy is commonly applied to soft tissue injuries and wounds to reduce inflammation, accelerate healing, and support tissue regeneration in a non-invasive manner.

Balance Pads
Balance pads are a valuable tool in equine rehabilitation, helping horses recover strength, coordination, and stability after injury. By creating controlled instability, they engage core and postural muscles, improve proprioception, and support joint mobility. Used under veterinary or therapist guidance, balance pads can accelerate recovery, reduce risk of re-injury, and promote long-term soundness.

Theraband Therapy
TheraBands are used in equine rehabilitation to activate core muscles, enhance posture, and support correct movement patterns during recovery. By providing gentle resistance around the abdomen or hindquarters, they encourage engagement of stabilizing muscles that protect the spine and joints. Incorporating TheraBands into a rehab program can improve strength, coordination, and overall biomechanics, helping horses return to soundness more effectively.

Biomechanic Tracking
Biomechanical tracking technology provides objective, measurable data on a horse’s movement, including push-off strength, landing forces, symmetry, and balance. By quantifying these parameters, it allows veterinarians and therapists to identify subtle asymmetries, monitor progress during rehabilitation, and tailor recovery programs with precision. This data-driven approach enhances decision-making, supports early detection of issues, and promotes a more efficient and effective return to performance.
